This creates a problem in that if something happens, the police department can’t make it in time before disaster strikes. The Harrold independent School District also reported low funding and they weren't able to hire any security officers to be on campus during the school day. Although low funding in such a small town is understandable, the city should take it upon itself to place at least 1 or 2 police officers on campus in order to protect the students, instead of arming teachers throughout the school.
