Police Fear

I have respect for the police and the job they do. Even though, police officers make me nervous because they carry guns and I don’t like guns, also there’s a lot bad stories about them in the media, most of the stories are negative. Ironically, I decided to face my fear, in the near future to become a police officer. Policemen and women across America are selected few who do very dangerous job. Police have done so many great things to help improve communities, help people during their off duty hours and stand strong in face of many fears. The police who are trying to enforce the law are on the streets in all types of weather. Instead of being at home with their families on holidays, they are working to keep peace. Every day, they step out in a world where violence is considered appropriate. In the 21st century, crimes and violence is increasing rapidly, the law enforcement officers are faced with dangers as the carry out their duties. They sometime faced dangerous or the unpredictable situations, they have a very little time to think about their actions to determine a proper decision. Those actions I understand because they have no choice. What I’m not agreeing with is when some law enforcement use unwanted excessive force to the minority groups. When they use force on minority group, it usually the usual explanation that the person that they killed was trying to threaten them. Well, if they were trying to threaten you then use your Taser. They are always finding excuses to kill innocent people and it accomplishes absolutely nothing. We need to retrain our police and teach them how to protect people instead of killing
