When you think about policing you think about authority. Being a leader is crucial in a community that needs help. A police officer is like a guardian angel. They protect you from all the evil activities and vicious criminals that’s out to harm people. It’s there sole duty to protect its citizens. There are many reasons that people want to become a police officer’s usually they want the money, the benefits, and the title especially. Which are all possible good reason but it is wrong, you have to have a calling for it. Most of the cops feel like they are above the law because they have a suit and a badge. Psychological studies have shown that 90 percent of law enforcement are on an ego trip and 10 percent want to help society. So odds are you will run into a cop on an ego trip, and what they have to get across. It would seem that a massive number of police officers today no longer view us as citizens innocent until proven guilty, but we have all in their eyes, become potential criminals guilty, until proven innocent! More and more we see the blatant disregard of a citizens rights when it comes to their interactions with the people. People who think they are above the law tend to try to control citizen and instead of trying to solve the problem in a simple matter and talk it out. They use their knowledge to make you feel lessor and just to handcuff you. The next characteristic is bribery, bribery come in many different shapes and forms. The most common bribery is when a police try to take money from individual l or organization to do their dirty work or simply to keep quite. I think it is a disgusting thing to do as an officer to choice money as the ruler over the life of a citizen. Bribery among the government employees is the most talked about form of corruption as it affects a very large number of citizens. The money is divided among the individuals who partake in this senseless matter in a pre-determined ratio. Most of them do not feel guilty in making use of the illegal
