Thesis Statement: To protect the police and also members of the community,
The United States should implement the use of body-worn cameras to each police department to document every encounter between the police and the public.
I. Since America was first discovered, law enforcement has played an important role in the development of the American culture.
A. Law enforcement is needed to maintain order.
1. Police officers protect and serve the public in many ways.
2. America would be in complete uncontrolled chaos without law enforcement officers.
B. Americas first known police officers was established in Boston when the first colonist where settling in around 1630 that consisted of a “Watch.”

Public support or opposition for police officers can have an impact on the communities that police patrol.
1. In areas where the police are respected, the people of the community are more likely to assist the police with their missions.

1. Studies of European and Asian Countries show less police officer corruption in these areas.
