United Nations agency fought peacefully against segregation and police violence. However, the black panthers arose to fight violently against police brutality. Police brutality at this point, owing to rare cop prosecution, was rampant and happened quite currently. Police violence became less apparent within the 1970's- 2000's though it absolutely was still happening.
