A strength of this reference is that not only does it bring up local statistics on police brutality in regards to racial minorities, but it addresses it on a national level, as well. The Consortiumnews.com author includes U.S. federal constitution facts, as well. However, the author is using too many subjective statements in here which come across to the reader as “matter-of-fact,” but really, they’re just truth surrogates; namely, the use of such terminology as 'white privilege' takes away from the need for an objective perspective on such a controversial topic.
