They sat in a deer blind for 6 hours and were very board, so the dad started to tell stories to the sun about wolf attacks , polar bear attacks, and brown bear attacks. But one story kind of freaked him out. Their was one about this giant 5000 pound kodiak bear attacking a group of people in a blind and killing all of them and eating them. The bear was known as bearzilla. Right at the end of that story he saw a giant caribou standing in front of them. The dad told the kid to shoot it. Why are polar bears trying to steal people's food? On the federal Department of Agriculture’s plant hardiness map, a blue smear across interior Alaska shows where the brutal winters, with their 60-degree-below-zero temperatures, make it difficult for anything but the toughest plants, and people, to survive. Partly as a result, Alaska imports about 95 percent of its food, state officials say. The Inuits are facing a lot of problems like global warming, polar bears, and the fact that has to alaska import food .…

Another group that is classified by the order Carnivora are the polar bears and sea otters. These animals have a more primitive structure of a paw or padded foot, and they are marginally aquatic because they can spend some time in water, but most of their time is spent on land. Many of these animals go into the water to eat, and they play a large role in maintaining marine ecosystems in regulating populations of prey. There is no significant fossil record because these animals are thought to be recent entries into the aquatic environment (Uhen, 2007). Both polar bears and sea otters are covered in fur like most mammals, but they have adapted an oilier fur that is practically waterproof (Reidenberg, 2007).…
