Polar Bear Global Warming

Global warming is the continuing rise in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere and oceans. Global warming is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, resulting from human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels. The increased temperature has effects on both humans and animals. There are many ways, which can allow people to continue living and to deal with climate changes. However, while humans are pretty good at adapting to climate change, it is a different story for animals. The chief threat to the polar bear is the loss of its habitat. The sea ice, which is their major habitat, has been shrinking because of climate change. Also, it is expected that it will also cause a decline in polar bears’ prey because they rely on for reaching their seal prey on the sea ice. Furthermore, the diminished sea ice affects increases in drowning and cannibalism.
