Poland In America Essay

Do you know anything about Poland? Do you know any cool facts about the country? My family on my father’s side is from Poland. In the country the landscape there is low, flat, hills, and mountains. They also have cultural practices that they don’t have in America and some are completely different than here. My family and I are not like the Poland culture we only do a few things that the Polish do. Poland is a very interesting country and the things that they practice and do are not like here in America. There are really cool and interesting facts about Poland. The population there is about 36,653,144 people. Some of the main industries are machine building, iron and steel, coal mining, chemicals, ship building, food processing, glass, beverages, and textiles. The government there is a unitary multiparty republic with two legislative houses. The neighboring countries around Poland are Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the Baltic Sea. …show more content…
In the book Countries of the World Poland by Gareth Stevens Publishing it states that “Poles usually eat four meals a day; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an evening snack.” So in the country they have four meals a day which is much like in America. Tradition dishes in Poland include “…Hungarian stew, steak Tartar, and Schnitzel…” and that is a pretty common traditional dish, that states in Countries of the World Poland. “Poland became a Western European nation as a result or accepting Roman Catholicism in A.D. 966.” the book has quoted. Poland’s religion main religion is Roman Catholic; they have Christian holidays there. Also in the book it says “Independence Day in Poland id celebrated annually on November 11th.” November 11th in Poland they have parades, concerts, plays, music, readings, dinners and much more.
