He would get in trouble almost every day for drawing instead of doing his school work. At thirteen he got a tattoo kit and began giving his friends tattoos at his house. This was around 1987 when tattoos began getting really big and more and more people wanted them. In 2006 Archie had finally gotten his license, opened a shop, and gave tattoos professionally.

I asked Archie about his tattoos and what they meant to him and he said, “Well, I certainly have a lot of them. This one was one of my first” he said as he pointed at the skull on his arm. “I got it because I have always had a fascination with them. The other ones are just random things I have gone through.” He also believes the coolest tattoos are realistic animals and black and grey scale pieces. Although they are both very time consuming, they are absolutely amazing in the end. The main reason he likes black and grey scale tattoos is because they are like a flash to the past. Like old movies these tattoos remind him of the past. The reason he enjoys realistic animal tattoos is because of how majestic they look, especially tiger or lion
