Four months after the accident and we are back at the same place, Point Nepean. Kip and Grace are becoming closer and are going out on a date this afternoon. Kip invited me to come down to the beach with them if I wanted to but I am still a little unsure. Grace asked mum if she could go to the surf shop to get some togs. Mum and grace come back and grace has three pairs of togs two pairs of bikinis a blue and black diamond one, a purple and black and a one piece which is pink and black. She tries them all on and shows them to me.
“Annie”, she says. “Which pair do you think I should wear to the beach in front of kip”
I reply with “I don't know what pair do you like?” I can tell she doesn't know and that she is probably scared to go out in public and in front of kip wearing something they wont like. All of a sudden graces yells out “Annie will you make up your mind”
I yell back out to her “you make up your mind its not me who was specifically

She decided to wear the blue and black bikini. There was a really bad current in the water so we had to stay in between the red and yellow flags. Although grace and kip didn't care nor did they listen to me, yet again I am being the older; more mature person, even though I am the youngest out of both of them. I yell out to them and they still don't listen I didn't wear and togs so I dint want to go in the water but grace and kips stupidity made me. The waves were crashing on me, but they weren’t soaking my denim shorts either so I was fine. I finally reach the love couple and tell them that they have to go in between the flags, they still ignore me so I start walking away and then I remember that mum gave me fifty dollars for lunch so I yell back out to them I’m going to get ice-creams, I turn around and they are kissing each other. I guess this was why mum wanted me to come with them to the beach. “grace you feral” I run off back to where I left the

Throughout my four years of high school, the seaside community of Narragansett, Rhode Island, has encouraged and nurtured the growth of its youthful inhabitants as students and individuals. The supportive environment and abundant opportunities available for students to pursue their passions and help others consequently benefits the community as a whole. As an athlete, and more specifically, a runner, I have aspired to motivate and encourage young athletes to enjoy the fun and friendships that emerge from being a part of a sports team. During the summer, I volunteered at the Summer Youth Track Series at Narragansett High School. Eager smiles painted the faces of the joyous young runners lining up in heats, ready to run as fast as they can in the 100 meter sprint, throw as far as they can in the turbo javelin, and jump as far as they can in the long jump.…

I really enjoyed watching this documentary in class. A few years ago I watched a documentary Oprah produced called Serving Life. The story followed prisoners inside Louisiana’s maximum-security prison Angola, where the average sentence is more than 90 years. In the prison they have a hospice program where inmates get to take care of other dying inmates. The movie is moving and shows the personalities and human side of the men serving their time.…
