Over the semester I read a bunch of garbage that I probably can survive without reading it. These poems will help me look back on certain text and understand them. My teacher has taught me a lot and I really do appreciate everything I learned over the course of this year. There was a lot of memorization and I know it will help me in my future. I have expanded my vocabulary over the course of time I might have struggled but I made it finally. Most of these stories are different to others but they also go together. This literature book has many cool stories and poems but there only a couple that have actually stuck with me. Three titles that I enjoyed and wouldn't mind reading again would have to be When I fear that I may cease, The Hollow Men and Porphyria’s Lover
The poem When I Fear that I May Cease to Be makes me wonder what will happen once i'm gone. “Then on the shore of the wild world I stand alone, and think till love and fame to nothingness do sink.” (Pg 885). “In one long yellow string I wound Three times her little throat around, strangled her.” (Pg 983). This man commits this crazy act of murder towards the girl that he says he loves which is crazy if you think about it. I chose this poem because it’s odd it’s crazy a guy who loves this girl killed her. He strangled her with her own her. This is why i'm scared of other people honestly you never knew who is obsessed with you and who is freakin crazy. Another thing that I got from this poem is that even though someone loves you doesn't mean they won't hurt you people need to realize that. He may praise her but he surely made sure she never praised anyone else that wasn't
