‘Out out’ shows how a young boy’s life comes to an end because of a saw. But ‘disabled’ shows how a heroic soldier comes back from the war but is treated as an outcast because of his immobility. He lost his young life because he can’t do much because he can’t do the normal stuff which everyone takes for granted. Both poems show how each person’s life had lost a vital part of their body.

This makes you imagine a soldier getting hit by a bomb and losing his limbs, then how the blood escapes his legs and arm until there was none left inside. In out out, Frost makes you imagine a young boy losing his hand as he was distracted, ‘Leaped out at the boy, or seemed to leap. He must have given the hand.’ This shocks you because it wasn’t expected to happen so quickly, and it makes you think and feel upset, and that there’s no one to blame except the boy even though he didn’t mean to.
