DALE
She thought she was the last wish-maker in the family and then you happened. You lit someone’s hair on fire just by saying wish granted.
ANDY
I got expelled from that school and then sent to another boarding school. No one would let me come home.
DALE

Andy knows it’s true. She is a wish-maker.
ANDY
(still defiant)
Prove it. Let me grant you a wish. What do you want? A million dollars?
DALE
That is a cliché. No one wishes for that anymore.
Dale takes an old coin out of his pocket.
DALE (CONT’D)
I got my wish. I just haven’t used it yet.
(beat)
Another tidbit about wish making. You can pre-grant wishes onto objects. I’m saving this one for a rainy day or for when I really fuck something up.
ANDY
Do you...fu...mess a lot of things up?
DALE
Oh yeah.
Dale throws the coin into the air and quickly catches it right in front of Andy, causing her head to snap back. Dale puts the coin back into his pocket and takes out a crumpled piece of paper.
DALE (CONT’D)
This is a list of everyone that Louise owes a wish to. Now, it’s your list. Your Aunt wanted you to do this. You have to do this for her.
(pointing to the list)
You owe Melvin a wish and he’s been very patient. He’s also been a little shit about it.
Andy looks forlorn.
DALE (CONT’D)
Get through this list and you can go back to your shitty isolated quiet life. I
