What God Means To Me Essay

The one verse I will forever live by is Psalm 143:8, “Let the morning bring the word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life”. This verse tells me that I do not need to fear about singing in front people, or fear befriending people, or fear leading others, or fear anything in this world because the moment I gave my heart to God, He continually held onto it with such a delicacy. He knows that I trust and have faith in Him, and likewise, I know He trusts and has faith in me. Many people do not think about God having faith and trust in them, but He does. When we give ourselves to Him, He trusts that we will continue to follow Him no matter what lies ahead. But when we do get off course, He will show us the way back. The reason why I am saying this is because I was once lost, but God helped me find my way back and in every detail, He was there—I was able to find Him, and the moment I did He turned my life around by showing me what I was created for. My calling is to lead worship and help those who are lost. My boyfriend of three years, Mitchell, is called to evangelize …show more content…
Through my worship and love towards the hearts of the loss I know that I will be able to heal the sick through the love of Jesus. With my patience, understanding, and Gods grace I will be able to fulfill the calling God has on my life. But through my testimony, I will be able to relate to many people that are lost, but allow them to realize that the only reason I am different is because of Gods love which is full of grace. Just these last few weeks at SEU, God has challenged in so many areas of my life—like prioritizing time for Him, over time to relax. But the most important thing that God has showed me is that I am a dreamer—and because of that, I need to allow the reality of God to be bigger than the dreaming of

We are all called to fill multiple roles during our life. In chapters 5-8 of God at Work, Veith (2002) explains the importance of each of these vocations and how they intermix with each other. In looking at each of these, it is important to note that one vocation does not carry more power than another. Veith explains how God works through us in each of the vocations of worker, family member, citizen, and church member to love and serve our neighbor.…

At my most vulnerable, I was having to fill the role of teacher and leader, teaching people how to walk with others through a difficult situation. I learned how important it is to be authentic. I had to let them be part of the grieving and healing process, showing weakness, strength, and reliance on God. My prayer is that God used this journey as an example for others, that they would see our source of strength and hope, that life could again be filled with joy, and most importantly that they would see Jesus through…

Gwen A. Bennington, Esq. (a.k.a. Dr. G.) was the founder and President of the The Real Angels Network (TRAN) and she coined the phrase that real angels fly under the radar. “Worldviews shape not just our individual lives, but universities as well.” (Why College Matters To God, 20) I believe that the main way that we should live in the world is through listening to and being able to talk to people openly about differences in beliefs and social differences. If one strives to be conscious of and learn from other points of views and experiences, one can be enlightened and educated in things that they might have missed otherwise.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

“I am gay,” Jonathan, my long time friend, whispered to me as I sat across from him eating my Chipotle burrito bowl. Many thoughts raced through my mind as I searched for the proper words to respond. I struggled not because his revelation changed my opinion towards him, but as the first person he confided in, I wanted to reassure him that this has not changed the love and the sense of belonging between us. We live in the “Bible Belt” of America, which holds strong conservative cultural and religious views, so Jonathan was facing a daunting task of revealing his sexual orientation.…

An event in my life that will influence my academic goals at CCU was the passing of my mother on 09/16/2015. She passed so suddenly that we weren’t prepared, neither mentally nor financially. We didn’t know how we were going to pay for her services but God allowed generous people to be moved to donate to our memorial fund. We reached our goal and then some and it was just so inspiring, I felt God was with me and my siblings every step of the way. When she passed God gave me His peace and allowed me to grieve supernaturally quickly.…

The Love of God God is the creator of all life and he is the highest of all powers, he embodies all ‘persons’ (The Father, The Son, and The Spirit). Although we cannot be as him, we should try to follow his guidance. In this world, it is easy to get wrapped in earthly things. We are humans, and many of times we fail by trying to hold a certain status, gain certain materialistic possessions, and cause great emotional/physical harm to one another. In my beliefs, that is not the way one should live.…
