Jade nodded, obliviously.
“Okay.” I said. “I went out of my room, and looked down the stairs, and there they were. Some person. I couldn’t see who it was, and then they just sped out the front door.”
“And you didn’t even ask what they were doing here?” Emily asked.
“I did, but they didn’t answer me. They ran away.” I said. “There was nothing I could do.”
“Well, let’s ask the guys in the morning.” Nicolle said.
“Yeah,” I said. “I’m sure I’ll be hanging out with Bailey sometime, so I’ll ask him when I get the chance.”
“Let’s get some sleep.” Emily said.
“I agree.” Jade said.
We all got up from the couches, went up to our rooms, and got into bed. I got up from my bed, and sat down by Tater. As I sat down, he lifted his head up.
“Hey, bud.” I said. “What happened?”
He laid his head back down and closed his eyes.
“I get it. You’re tired. So am I.” I said as I stood up and got into my bed. Finally, I fell asleep, with all the theories and thoughts floating around in my head.
Chapter 6: Mysteries
I woke up with Tater lying on my bed beside me. I grabbed my phone that was sitting face down on my nightstand.
There was a text from a number that wasn’t programed into my phone.
“Found your phone number. Meet me at the cafe where we first met. -B”
I put my phone down and laid back in bed. I put my hand on Tater’s head. “What are you doing up here?”
