The metaphor “Tragedy takes it away like a thief in the night” from the song Indestructible by Wage War means that tragedy can happen whenever and without a warning. It can come and take something beloved in the blink of an eye. Meaning that tragedy can happen whenever and wherever. It can take something or someone from someone like a thief. With the agility and swiftness of a cheetah, it can take its next victim before you even notice.

The metaphor “I put on body-armor of black rubber”means that you can try and protect yourself from tragedy but it will eventually get to you. I none way or another that armor will be pierced and tragedy will seep in. Tragedy can be disguised as anything. From a person to an inanimate object, tragedy can strike as anything. Tragedy can be something or someone that is close to the victim. It can appear as something or someone that you don’t suspect could cause tragedy.
Created by me: “Tragedy is as relentless as a murderer.” This metaphor describes how tragedy can deliver a blow that can severely hurt someone. Not literally, but mentally. It can come out of nowhere and strike a target and cause a family member of the target grief, and in some cases, solitude. Tragedy can take like a murderer and is absolutely relentless. There are many cases of tragedy that are small, country and world wide that can affect thousands, or even millions of
