Improved Essays
Once when I was seven years old, I got a new toy. It was exciting but also painful it was a electric pocket rocket mini bike. I bet you wanna hear my story on what happened next.

You have a surprise for me? What is it? You just have to come with me to go get it first, my mom says. Are we there yet, I keep asking. NO!!!!!! I'm sorry but I have a question are we there yet yes. you made me sit in the car for 45 minutes to get to sears. Come on mom don't you know we have one in town. Yes I know there is one in town but they did not have it there. Where is it? Right there, I do not see it? Never mind I see it. Thank you! It's not a mini bike it is a pocket rocket. So a mini bike, yes. I can't wait to ride it! So let's go home.

Ponyboy was really the first person I could express my opinions to and the first person I could really talk to about how I feel about this stupid social division we have to go by. Even though he doesn’t really understand how we Socs have problems too, I can see that he at least sort of understands- not completely, but just a little… Knowing that he sort of understands is a mixed feeling of relief and just a bit of an absurd feeling as well, I mean, a Soc and a greaser actually having a nice conversation.. I didn’t expect him to actually understand at all, but I also didn’t expect him to be completely ignorant about it either. “Cherry, look what’s coming,” Marcia quickly addressed. I watched the blue Mustang as it was coming down the street.…

When I was younger on my twelfth birthday I had been given two options that I would receive as a present. My mother would either take me to Six Flags or she would buy me a mini motorcycle. This was a difficult decision because, although I never been to Six Flags I’ve always wanted a motorcycle. I had asked for a motorcycle the year before but, she said no because it was too dangerous. Still until this day I wonder why she allowed me to get one a year later.…
