In Pocahontas’ early life she was the favorite child of her father and also the most trusted as told by historians. Her father went to her for advice in times of need and also asked for help when the settlers came to America. In the Disney movie “Pocahontas” the telling of her early life was started at what appeared to be when she was 15 years old which is not true according to historians because they say the settlers came when she was around the age of 12 which is when the movie starts showing the Native Americans. I believe the movie producers changed her age to 15 because pocahontas marrying someone at that age it is a little bit too mature for young viewers.
