My main focus for this week was to follow-up on projects that I was previously assigned and to update the management team on my progress. I was able to follow-up with all of the remaining sites as far as their stand still with the I-9 project. While taking on this project I have noticed that a lot of sites face the same issue, which is inconsistencies within their documentation/data. This is strange due to the fact that audits have taken place. This goes to show that there is room for error even when there are audits being done. So for now, managers at these sites have to investigate the missing information and then collect what is neccesary to then send to me. I have faced many road blocks, some were due to the management teams change of opinions or wants for this project. Also, were complications in exploring what all can realistically be done in Excel and how I was going to be able to do it. Other methods that I first presented such as google calendar, mobile app calendars and even making use of a software that we already have access to called “Lotus” (similar to the software called Outlook); got the management team excited, however when we evaluated each method, their remaining preference was Excel for various …show more content…
I caught a stomach bug mid-week and had to end my day early on Wednesday. For some reason my anxiety has been creeping up on me, however I intend to rest for the fall break and spend time with my loved ones. Knowing that I get to spend the weekend with my family is honestly what kept me going this week. Maintaining a job and school while being sick is certainly a challenge but I believe it is for the good. These experiences and mixed emotions are molding me into my greater. So in an odd way I appreciate feeling like crap and still having to wake up for work and school, it’s kind of like a “thank me later” concept. From the outside it looks like I over work myself for a 20 year old, but people just don’t understand how determined I am to be better than good enough. I do not want to settle, I want to make sure I reach my full potential. I believe that all of the hard work that I put in now will pay off in the
