Plot Summary Of 'Growing Up Gronk'

The book “Growing Up Gronk” is a story about and all American family that anyone can relate with. The father, Gordy Gronkowski, raised his five sons differently the how he was raised as a child. Gordy instilled in his boys the drive to fulfill your dreams through hard work and dedication along with commitment. Gordy showed his sons how to love but also tough love at times. He showed this love by encouraging them to be the best they can be. He would write sticky notes and leave them on the refrigerator daily. The boys become frustrated with the daily sticky notes and brought this to Gordy’s attention. Gordy admitted the sticky notes were excessive and did began to lessen the frequency.
The culture of the Gronkowski family was to try hard and never give up. Through this culture Gordy established the

Gordie Jr went to Jacksonville State College to be a baseball player. He was able to play on the team but not without struggles. He was not sure what his future was going to be. He wanted to play for the Major League Baseball team but this dream did not come true. He never accomplished his dream but never gave up on trying. Dan, the second son, he wanted to play football. He played for University of Maryland as a tight end. His dream was to be part of the National Football League and was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2009. He also played for the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns. His success is due to the foundation his dad created and never give up. Chris, the third son, followed in Dan’s footsteps attending the University of Maryland. Chris was not sure what he wanted to do. He attend college at University of Maryland and University of Arizona and got a degree in accounting. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010.
