The key to being highly qualified physical educators is to have a bachelor degree, have full state certification and demonstrate competence in each content area when teaching. Teachers need to meet all the requirements to have their license to teach and if a teacher doesn’t, then they cannot teach a class. They also need to professionally prepare themselves by getting their training experiences in the professional programs in order to help them to become highly qualified physical educators. The article states that there three main foundational categories that a highly qualified physical educator falls under, which are preservice preparation, designing and delivering the physical education program, and professional development.

Physical educators value physical activities in their physical education class and they help guide students to understand the benefits of healthy growth and development. In their class, they give clear instructions on what to do and what is expected of the students by establishing protocols. They teach appropriate activate for the appropriate age group, so that the students enjoy what they are doing as well as learning. They help build confidence for the students, making sure students are thinking independently and be successful in class. They also help develop life skills for the students and they can use the skill at events outside of school. Basically, they are teaching high quality of physical education to all your students and assist them to become physically educated
