I also want my audience to know the positive outcomes of using a digital, rather than analog, platform for class work. I also want my audience to understand that just like our students, learning a new skill takes time and courage. The audience should walk out of my speech thinking about how they will use the DLP in their classroom to supplement or replace their current platform. I was always aware of how court rooms worked and how judges listened to defenders and made decisions shortly after, therefore, I had assumed that a board of supervisors meeting worked the same way. Although, when I attended the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors, it surprised me how they both were. The meeting started out with a Christian prayer from a reverend and then proceeded with the pledge of allegiance. It shocked me because normally everyone always keeps church separate from the courts and I had considered the board of supervisors a court, so I did not expect something that open. When Chairman Jones started the board meeting by, asking the board members if they had any conflicts of interest, it stuck out the most to show their…

The purpose of this project was to target teenagers and reflect their use of technology along with coming up with a series of activities a teenager could do without using technology. Technology has given us a lot of benefits, but we should realize there are times when we should say no to using technology.…

A recent clinic meeting illustrates the potential contributions of my experiences to the class. Our doctor had just finished the buprenorphine prescriber training, and we were planning the logistical aspects of managing her suboxone panel. She laid out the differences between suboxone and methadone, explained each of our roles in care coordination, and presented patient cases that served as models for common situations. She described the patient attributes that predicted successful suboxone maintenance, and together the care team developed processes for the program like how urinalysis screenings would be carried out. During research for the meeting, I learned buprenorphine alone was usually not covered by Medicaid.…

However, as the session progressed, it sounded as though when Gemma further disclosed her experiences, she perhaps felt relief to be able to talk to someone about her experiences.
