The allegory of the cave is not something everyone understands. Trying to understand the basic idea is not something easy. Plato wrote this theory with the intentions of letting humans know how the real world is (Allegory of the cave). He wanted us to see how we were actually living. There are specific people that are paid to teach us what we are supposed to know about the world. Whenever someone does something that will change the way we see things, humans tend to believe it. Everything we think and know is because of someone else. Society is manipulated by the superiors of our world (Allegory of the Cave). This is because they are slaves to the people who created The Matrix. The problem with The Matrix is not that it is not pleasurable. The actual problem is that it is not real. You are living a false life. It does not matter if what you are living is pleasurable, it is not real. We have to face the reality of things. We cannot live in a world full of lies just because we do not want to face the real world. The reality of things may not be great or what you expected but, reality is reality.
