Politics is disgusting. It is chaotic, it is a pile of mess, and it definitely segregates people from having a united opinion. There is no surprise that the silent majority would not support either Hilary or Trump. The first debate was way too close to a reality TV show: A Jersey Shore episode except with a twist, senior citizens. The FBI investigating leaked files from Hilary? Scandal. The IRS also investigating bankruptcy claims from Trump? Scandal. From potential candidates like these being an option, why bother voting? When people only use their senses as their source of reality, they will not know true reality. To find the true reality, it requires people to question his/her sense and perception, that person will never know real knowledge from being confused with false knowledge. The light represented the truth, from learning about the reality of the cave the prisoner learned of his errors. The journey the prisoner traveled was the learning stages of a person finding the true reality. From questioning, the “truth” it can be disproven. Once the truth is properly analyzed and checked, people would evidently improve and want others to know about their observations hoping one day another person is able to leave their cave and see the truth. Probably one of the most misunderstood reasons why people don’t vote especially local elections. In North Carolina 's public voter registration sites like the DMV are found to fail provide this service for everyone. My sister was one those applicants who did not register to vote because the DMV failed to supply her with the required service to register her on the system. It was not until one of the voter registration drives reached out to my sister to find out about her ineligibility and registered for the election. Overall from this experience of learning all the things I have from the job, I actually was able to learn about various truths regarding voting. It isn’t as simple as to put it off as a corrupt government nor given it into one vote doesn’t matter because in the end the votes do count because our voice is like a droplet in a huge sea. Voting is important just from seeing the amount of restrictions and meticulous attention politicians have in order for the votes to be favored towards them. From not voting, it is no different from being satisfying with current living conditions by agreeing with a small group of people’s interests and not your own.
