I have considered the knowledge acquired from researching diverse types of regimes and have chosen what form of government suits my ideal state. Mildly comprehending Plato’s Republic and Cicero’s Ideal Republic, my ideal state references some of their work. I have chosen these two regimes to represent my government, Plato’s idea of Aristocracy and Cicero’s idea of Democracy. My ideal state insures the protection of human life, private property, proper selection of leaders and considers protecting and defining natural law.

“Justice is, for Plato, at once a part of human virtue and the bond, which joins man together in society”. [4] This is the protection of human qualities and virtues needed to create equal opportunities in my state. No human is to be held back depending on his parent economic standings, virtues, and human qualities. All humans have an equal opportunity of justice and prosperity according to their own virtues and human qualities. The laws that are presented to the Philosopher King, by the Public Advocate, are laws that that the people have voted on and requested. The people in my state have the right to vote on what the natural law is or its definition and what it means to own private property. After the people have voted and requested a law to be made, the Public Advocate presents the law to the Philosophy King. Off course, not all the laws the people vote on, and request to be presented to the Philosophy King, by the Public Advocate, are passed. This is due to the Philosopher King’s decision in deciding the meaning of laws, how to apply them to real situations, and whether it breaks the rules of the Constitution. In my state, the Public Advocate has and continues to deliver actual results and reforms to protect natural law and represent all the people of the state.
The proper selection of leaders in my state consist of majority votes and the Philosopher king is voted by the Public Advocate.
- The Public Advocate is elected by the people by majority vote and serves the people as a Public Advocate for a period of 2 years, for a limited number of 4 terms.
