After looking into the descriptions of a routine day of work of several plastic surgeons, a general routine can be noted. Many surgeons noted that work days are long, due to the having to examine and re-examine patients both aspiring to receive cosmetic surgery, and those who have already gone under the knife. A certain surgeon, Dr. Steven Bloch notes that he provides about two surgeries per day, ranging from procedures such as facelifts and body contouring. A major duty falling under the responsibility of a plastic surgeon, is in providing procedures that are entirely safe. Such a duty does not stop after the actual procedure of the surgery, but is also entirely present in the after care of the patient. Plastic surgeons must be able to perform work that will heal surely and attractively. Before her guidance, I was a bit unsure of the exact classes I needed to take, or the exact grade point average I needed to strive for. However, within one meeting with Michele, I was much more confident with the knowledge of the exact classes I needed to take in the next couple of years at Cal State Fullerton. With Michele’s advising, I was made aware of the changes I needed to make in my academic life to create an application that would gain me access to medical school, and eventually gain me access to being just a bit closer to my optimal field of work. For example, I was made aware of the exact number of hours I should strive to reach in both clinical and other volunteering areas. I was also made aware of certain organizations on Fullerton’ campus that would allow me to stay on track, and have as another resource to aid my path towards my ideal
