What do you think of when we you hear the words “Plastic Surgeon”? Probably the bromidic affluent white middle-aged male who lives in Beverly Hills, with an ostentatious lifestyle, and prominent for working with the utmost celebrities. Despite this rather glamorous image, thats not the way I see myself as a future plastic surgeon. Then how do I picture myself then? I envision myself as a plastic surgeon without boundaries and one who is willing to assist anyone no matter the situation. One whose main goal isn't just earning affluence, but actually going out and helping individuals who have no else to help them and making them feel better about themselves so they can enjoy their lives. Albeit I would like to work in a hospital for some time of my life as a doctor, I would also want to help individuals in …show more content…
Such values include the importance of family, solicitude, deference, and probity. My parents, especially my mom worked as a nurse with two jobs making sure to give me the best she possibly could so that I may be the first in my family to go college. Growing up in East Los Angeles I was already perceived as a individual who would surmount to nothing more than a life of drugs and violence. Words like “success” and “college” were unheard of in my community. All throughout my life I have found a sense of comfort and enjoyment in school. Early on I developed certain proclivities such as academic achievement, which helped me realize how pivotal education was to truly be successful. In contrast, my brother did not see the importance of education and fell into the stereotypical gang life that surrounded my community.
