As it was stated in “Plastic Debris in the Ocean” by Florian Thevenon, Chris Carroll and Joao Sousa shows readers just by recycling products won’t work. Just recycling waste is not the solution of the problem. Theyenon said in his review, just recycling materials will not solve problem. Just recycling material and wasting them at same time won’t put system into equilibrium process. For example group of 10 people are using 10 plastic material each per day. By end of the month there could be 300 peaces of plastic in total. If people in this case try to avoid using it, there could be dramatically less amount of waste at end of the day, for example 2 each would make up to 60peaces compared to 300 by end of the month. Even thought there is tons of organization such as Plastic Ocean. This organization is special because they are trying to awake and change peoples believe by sharing their believe throughout Movies that they are creating. Money from movie’s are being used to fight plastic pollution. Majority of people these days, usually are on internet, based on their free time. and based on that, people will somehow will be scroll through videos about plastic pollution. Based on that short preview, movie will catch people who don’t know current problems or know it, but haven’t payed a lot of attention to it. But at end of the day, they will be watch it, and they will be introduced to it. So later they could of decide to keep scrolling or show more attention, and watch full movie that will lead them to take action. Maybe not as group of followers, not as a big group of protesters but as an individual that wants to bring change, and as an individual that at same time trying to be a part of the solution. This problem can be solved by trying to illuminate plastic use of their everyday life, or at least reduce it. Even just trying to avoid single use of plastic, like water bottles, soda/juice cans can bring dramatic help to environment. This can also be backed up as single person who’s not a follower of big organization or movement can be counted as person who’s part of solution as individual. Overall this organization is not the first organization that main goal to share their thoughts throughout internet.
