Planning Coaching Sessionss

Before planning coaching sessions, coaches need to collect information about young people that they are working with on a daily basis and goals that they would like to achieve. The areas that will be included, which is very important are; 1) Past experiences involving sport; 2) Ability levels (technical, tactical, physical and mental); 3) What or who motivates them to take part in sport; 4) Goals and aspirations in sport or lives in general; 5) Any illnesses, injuries, medication or anything else that is restricting them to take part.
Essentially a coach should take their time to plan and organise a session as it has to be specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and timed. A coaching session has to have aims and objectives as this
