Going into this course I was thinking: “Okay, Lisa, I have had a lot of experiences. What more can I possibly learn? I highly doubt that I will come away from this class learning something new.” But sure enough, I was wrong and you were right. For example, I always thought it was unhealthy to skip periods if a female is on birth control, but Planned Parenthood told me otherwise. It completely blew my mind that there is essentially no reason for a woman to have a period if she is not planning on having a child. Thus, I felt pretty silly as I reviewed my original document, in which I said, “Little did we know that becoming a woman meant more than just dealing with a monthly cycle of ridding our body of toxins”.
