Planned Parenthood should not lose any funding or be shut down. Despite recent abortion controversies, Planned Parenthood should not be held responsible for pro-abortion advocates. The organization is pro-choice, and intends to give the choice back to the people in order to allow them to choose a better life for themselves. If Planned Parenthood loses its funding or gets shut down, people everywhere, but especially low-income families, will be put in a difficult standing in affordable health care and wellness. Furthermore, shutting down Planned Parenthood would put many people at a greater health risk than they have now, and worst yet, it will not end abortion.…

The problem I have chosen to identify falls within the defunding of Planned Parenthood. Once again this issue has become a heated debate among the republican and democratic members of congress. The democrats in the senate as well as President Obama are being blamed for any government shutdown that may occur due to their persistence in protecting the services provided and the funding allocated by the federal government that is legal as well as ethical. Planned Parenthood has been a financial supporter of Obama’s presidential campaign in the past, which republicans say proves that some type of corruption is now taking place between the two entities. The major accusation that Planned Parenthood has been accused of is profiting from the sale of aborted fetal tissue and by promoting this practice, increases the number of abortions that are being performed without offering any other type of solution to the unwanted pregnancy.…

Their health centers provide a broad spectrum of safe, reliable health care. Planned Parenthood is proud of its vital role in providing young people with honest sexuality and relationship information in classrooms and online to help reduce our nation’s alarmingly high rates of teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. The United States has the highest teen pregnancy rate among the world’s developed nations and approximately 750,000 teenagers in the United States will become pregnant this year.…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child.…

Tom Anderson says, “Women should have the right to safe and legal abortions because it ensures them full responsibility and free participation in society.” Agreeing with Anderson, M. Wade case. In a way I agree with both sides for different reasons because they both have their pros and cons. If abortion remains legal I think more and more women will become pregnant and feel a since of not having to be responsible.…
