Planarian flatworms are widely used to study and research various elements of science. These free-living flatworms are included in the group of animals called the Platyhelminthes. Planarians serve as a popular system because they do not require much to stay healthy except for a clean source of water and food. Additionally, their biology is similar to the biology of humans (Hutchinson et.al 2015). Therefore, it is easy to study numerous things like addiction, learning, and tissue regeneration. Planarian are considered remarkable because of their capacity for regeneration after being cut (Miyashita et.al 2011).There ability to replace lost parts is caused from a cell type called neoblast.
