PLAN FOR THE PROVISION OF PATIENT SERVICES

1) SERVICE MISSION/PHILOSOPHY/GOALS AND OJECTIVES:

a) The primary mission of the Mental Health Care Line (MHCL) is to provide quality mental health services to individuals who are experiencing identifiable mental health problems. These services are designed to help the individual attain and maintain maximum levels of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual functioning. The MHCL provides a wide range of services through a continuum of care to meet the identified needs of its customers. The MHCL works cooperatively with state and local health care providers to deliver comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and to assure continuity of care and service delivery.

b) Vision: To provide comprehensive, high quality mental health services to patients that include inpatient, outpatient, emergent, subacute, and consultation services. To assist the patient to move seamlessly along the continuum of care to the appropriate level of care to best meet the patient’s identified needs. This will be done in an environment of compassion and respect for the patient and will include education and research.

c) Values: Mental Health staff are committed to providing patients with mental health services in an environment that offers trust, respect, compassion, privacy, comfort, and human dignity. All of this will be done with a commitment to excellence.
