Plagiarism in my high school was rampant. Students who were not as savvy with the internet would copy verbatim out of the world encyclopedia. One of my classmates known for making good grades in our history classes showed an obsession with making the highest marks. Towards the end of the junior year it was made public that she was using her older sister’s papers from the year before for her assignments. The school took swift action and reviewed all her work from the academic year and found she had not completed any of the course work for multiple classes. Many of our class mates were appalled.
