Leaders of substance are not people who plagiarize other people’s work, they are people who actually give credit to the rightful owners and are authentic. In my opinion, I think it is a red flag when a politician, candidate, or candidate’s wife think it is okay to plagiarize.
There is a very huge gap in difference in consequences for politicians and a college student. A college student is severely punished for plagiarizing whereas on the other hand, a politician is likely to get away with plagiarizing.
My biggest take away from this reading and research is recognizing how widespread plagiarizing is in politics and there are little or no consequences for doing it. As a student, this makes me wonder why politicians get away with plagiarizing, but other people face severe consequences such as losing their jobs for doing the same. I hope politicians in future will be more authentic and give credit where it is due.
