Consumers of the internet are always utilizing its assistance to complete assignments, but issues are put into play when the consumer doesn 't exercise discretion, and decide to make use of the work of others without properly recognizing that individual. Research shows that 68% of students use the internet in school, and adolescents uses it 17 to 40 hours a week (Davison, C., & Stein, C.). Cyberbullying, has become an issue that has affected 5.7% to 18.3% of individuals especially middle/high school children. Cyberbullying victimization has been found to be associated with symptoms of social anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, somatic symptoms, low self confidence, and low self-esteem (Dredge, R., Gleeson, J., & de la Piedad ,G., 2014). Utilizing the internet as its outlet, people have taken to bullying, harassing and intimidating those who they believe can 't defend themselves. These bullies victimize online because of the power imbalance that is created by them not being visible to those they are bullying, which means that there are no witnesses to this behavior, and because they have numerous platforms to utilize, which makes it easier to get away with such actions.
