The Internet has become a stage where people can commit inappropriate activity. Research shows that 68% of students use the internet in school, and adolescents uses it 17 to 40 hours a week (Davison, C., & Stein, C.). Cyberbullying, has become an issue that has affected 5.7% to 18.3% of individuals especially middle/high school children. Cyberbullying victimization has been found to be associated with symptoms of social anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, somatic symptoms, low self confidence, and low self-esteem (Dredge, R., Gleeson, J., & de la Piedad ,G., 2014). Utilizing the internet as its outlet, people have taken to bullying, harassing and intimidating those who they believe can 't defend themselves. These bullies victimize online because of the power imbalance that is created by them not being visible to those they are bullying, which means that there are no witnesses to this behavior, and because they have numerous platforms to utilize, which makes it easier to get away with such actions. The frightening aspect associated with cyberbullying is that, it allows the harassment to follow the victims everywhere, and removes the protective function of the home as a ‘‘safe haven’’ from bullying.
