Gibson- Gibson is my first preference to be a Resident Assistant in next year because I like that it is a alcohol, drug free building. I would enjoy Gibson because I think that I could relate to the other people that live there. I have been in Gibson on different occasions this year and last year and the tone that it has is very focused. I feel like my experience in Davis has prepared me for being an RA in Gibson. I think that I would bring my malleability to Gibson and also my willingness to figure things out on my own. I start out in Davis as a new RA with a new RD and we were able to figure things out together. I am passionate about many things including, social justice, equality, community, relationships, along with many others and I feel that I display that through the organizations and clubs that I am apart of and just my everyday demeanour. I am a person who appreciates and prefers to radiate positivity. I am an open and honest person, even though everyone does not like to hear it sometimes. I am straightforward and to the point, I do not sugar coat important things. I am someone who knows how to separate their professional life from their personal life. I am patient with things that I think are worthy of patience, but there are other things that I do not give leeway to because they are crucial. I say all of that because that is how I live my everyday life everywhere I go. That is the position that I think is more difficult than others just because of the atmosphere and how far away everyone is from each other. This year I am super involved and very busy, but I love it. I love being busy and always moving from one place to another, it keeps me motivated. Next year, I plan to be busy but more intentionally. This year I felt like I was involved in a lot of things, but I was not making a difference anywhere and I really struggled with that. Between now and April, I plan to really analyze what defines me as a student and a leader at Maryville College and pursue where I think I make the most difference, wholeheartedly. One thing I can say, is that I never felt like I was not making a difference as an RA and while I feel like I have helped my girls through their freshman year and given them good advice, they have done the same for me. Being a Resident Assistant was number one on my priority list when it came to clubs, organizations, and responsibilities and I would like to keep it that
