Finally, Toy Story was released on Thanksgiving weekend of 1995 and Jobs’ idea turned out to be a success. The movie received enthusiastic reviews and many families were rushing to see it. It eventually became the first box office hit of the year with $192 million earned in tickets (170). Jobs’ last minute plan with the Pixar stock brought in over $130 million for the company to fund its future.
