Within the 21st century many teenagers as well as adults began using twitter and other forms of social media to bring a part to their lives in some way. Many celebrities today use twitter as a form of interaction to their fans as well as other celebrities, but celebrities aren’t the only ones, politicians use twitter too. One politician in particular, “mastered Twitter… unleashing and redefining its power as a tool of political promotion, distraction, score-settling and attack — and turning a 140-character task that other candidates farm out to young staff members into a centerpiece of his campaign.”, his name is Donald Trump. In the article, Pithy, Mean and Powerful: How Donald Trump Mastered Twitter for 2016, it talks about how Trump has “used social media to replace the traditional apparatus of a political campaign”, this meaning he has been using this method to change the way that politicians usually will campaign. It also states within the article that, “even rival campaigns acknowledge that Twitter is providing a powerful bulwark against a slide in his poll numbers”, this means that what Trump is creating on Twitter is causing it to become extremely tough for his poll numbers to …show more content…
