Pinworms: The Life Cycle Of A Pinworm

Decent Essays
The life cycle of a pinworm is about 4-6 weeks
When and individual has ingested a pinworm eggs can take 1, 2 or even 3 months for the pinworms to leave the body
In a warm and dry environment eggs may not survive longer than 1-2 days
In a cooler environment the eggs can live up to 2 weeks
If fresh eggs continue to be swallowed, pinworms will remain in the body
