I was boarding the Mad Mouse at Michigans Adventure. When I buckled my seatbelt my hands were trembling. The cart started to inch forward then we were going up the steep hill. The way that the roller coaster was jerking me back and forth I thought that my dark blue jean shorts would turn darker. My grandpa tried to get me to put my hands in the air.The pink cart was zooming so fast I thought it would never stop.my heart was beating out of my chest. When the little pink mouse cart came to a stop I unbuckled and ran as fast as I could to my mom who was waiting for me.

Ten years ago on a hot afternoon as my father filled the black twenty-gallon tanks of water, and the roar of the jake brake and the downshifting melody of the passing trucks filled the air. “Mijo ven y detén la manguera en lo que agarro Cambio” my dad yelled. This happened due to the fact that our two-story house had unoccupied rooms, but there was an influx of people, so my brother and I had to surrender the room that we shared and sleep in our parents’ room.…
