According to USA.com, as of 2010 - 2014, the total population of Pima County is 993,144, which is 17.71% more than it was in 2000. Pima County lies in the southern half of Arizona and is made up of both incorporated and unincorporated developments within Pima Counties borders. Pima County has a total of 13 fire departments protecting the residence within its geographical area. Rural Metro Fire Department is one of 13 fire departments safeguarding the citizens of Pima County. It is made up of two fire protection service areas, one on the north side of Pima County and the second, located on the Southside Pima County.

As described the demographics of our service area’s and it will take more accurate data collection and time to pinpoint specific risk by establishing a particular area within the department's service boundaries by using a zip code for boundary lines.
As a disclaimer my brother Patrick Talley currently is also in this class, and he and I are both Captains for Rural Metro Fire Department. His station services the southern fire service area for Rural Metro Fire Department, and my fire station services the northern fire service area where my risk assessment will eventually focus on.

During the 20-month period from January 1, 2015, through September 8, 2016, as a whole Rural Metro Fire Department was dispatched to 12,730 calls as detailed by NFIRS 5.0 National Reporting System. A breakdown of total dispatched calls by number is listed below.
