Pillar Church of Jacksonville is a fast-growing church that is in need of a website with online registration capabilities that would address their need for an online presence to better serve their members, community, and any other interested parties. Such a website would enable them to achieve their strategic goal of spreading the Good News to their community and beyond. For this reason, Pillar Church have decided to pursue a project to create a website with online registration capabilities to provide members and nonmembers alike with general information regarding the church as well as provide online registration capabilities for the various events and classes that are available throughout the year. This software vendor will be part of the project team, consisting of internal Pillar Church personnel and a project manager that will implement the solution as per church requirements. Furthermore, the church has set a schedule for the project of 28 days with a fixed budget of $4000. This budget would include 6 project team members in total (1 FellowShipOne software specialist, 5 Pillar Church internal personnel) throughout the duration of the project.
Moreover, this project has been assessed and certain risks and benefits have been identified that would need to be taken into consideration. Firstly, the benefits of the project are:
• The capability to host more events as the registration process is automated
• Increased availability of general information to the community and members of the church
• More accurate data and less manual data capturing for administrative personnel
• Accurate and trackable data to provide the church with increased visibility for decision making
