Armadillidium vulgare, the common pillbug also known as potato bug can reach a size of about 18 millimeter. When they feel threatened they will curl into a tight ball which gives them name of pill bug or roly-poly. The color that they are seen with is blackish to a light pink color with or without yellow spots. The pillbugs normally live in moist places with lots shades, they also hide under rocks, logs and in leaf litters. The species of pill bugs is a native across europe especially in the Mediterranean region. They have a fairly free omnivores died that consists mainly on dead or rotten plants and animals. Sometimes they eat live plants and seedlings but they have small mouthparts so they can only soft things.
