The purpose of this sacred day has been overlooked by the majority of society, and rather than reigning in the joy that was his likeness, this day has become a profane holiday event comprised of selfish desires and superficial joy. Something that is sacred is worshipped for its connections with God or a god dedicated to a religious purpose. This contradicts something that is profane, which can not be related to/ or is
