Piggy grabbed the conch and stood on top of a rock that made him much taller than he really was. “I have the conch, can I speak please!” he shouted at all the other boys. No one listened until Piggy smashed the conch on the rock he was standing on. Everyone froze, Ralph backed away and sat behind Piggy. All of the other boys were startled and surprised. It was silent, so silent you could hear your own heartbeat. “Can I please just have my specs back, they're no use anyways they're broken.” he whined. “Of course not I need them to make a fire.” Jack argued. “Well I need them to see,” Piggy yelled as he jumped onto Jack. He started pulling at his hair and tugging on his ears waiting for him to surrender. Which he never did until the boys …show more content…
“Well let’s get you out of here before we lose anymore.” the officer said as he started to walk away waving his hand to let the boys know to follow him. The boys slowly got up, yet ralph hesitated. He was suspicious of the officer. He wasn't wearing any type of uniform, he was just in casual clothes. He looked just as raggedy and dirty as all the boys did, but being the naive boy Ralph is he followed along with the other boys. They walked quite a distance to the beach from the camp sight. Everything was still quite none of the boys were talking until ralph pulled piggy over and whispered in his ear, “Do you trust him? He doesn't look very official.” “Shh, we’re getting rescued!” Piggy whispered back excitedly, “Our misery is moribund.” The naval officer turned around and yelled, “Who’s talking? I suggest you shut up right now before I decapitate you.” The boys shut up quickly and proceeded to get into sort of a more gathered clump and continued to follow the naval officer. The officer walked with some sort of swagger. He slouched, swayed his shoulders, and his shoes were untied and torn a part.
