When it comes down to reading, it sounds very exhausting and long suffering. Most of the people who likes to read, they must be fascinated about new idea and enjoys reading. Reading can be very challenging for those who doesn’t enjoy reading or doesn’t like demand of time in focusing on bunch of words. There is much easier way to read or shortcut of reading long readings. If the readers want to know about a book without having to read page by page, read has a shortcut to way to briefly understand the reading. Reading a book title and table of content or catalog will give general information on the books, but it won’t give the total understanding of the writer purpose.

The title of a book acts as a foundation of book. The title of the books is catchy to grab the reader attention, but the title itself gives lots of idea what is the reading going to be about and exaptation. For example, this essay title is “How to read a book you haven’t read”. Reader can already make assumption or expect that the essay is going to share on how to read. The title of pages of reading can even more general idea about reading. Title of pages are the sub-title of the main title of the reading. Title of pages can sum up the main ideas of the reading. In these way, just by reading the title of books or articles, the reader can understand lot about the reading without having to read all the pages. Table of content contains lots of main idea of the books or articles. The writer creates table of contains for reader to locate main idea of reading in specific page or the locations of the main ideas. Table of content is very useful for finding specific information in the book or article. If a reader reads through the whole table of content, reader can understand the reading without having to read a book. For example, the librarian says in ‘“How to Talk About Books You Haven’t Read”, “‘…if you want to know how I know about every book here, I can tell you! Because I never read any of them.”’ ‘“The secret of a good librarian is that he never reads anything more of the literature in his charge than the titles and the table of contents…’” Since, the librarian doesn’t read more than a table of content and still knows about all the books. Reading table of content itself, reader can how much about the reading and can go see some specific part of the reading later if necessary needed for more information.
Well, often books or some article has catalogs. Reading catalog is another way of understand about reading without having to flip through pages. The catalogs often give a lists or records of important stuffs. A catalog contains very important details of the reading in sequence.
