Think about it. If teens can’t experiment with their look now, when can they? When you are an adult in a professional environment you are not allowed to try new, crazy, things with their look. If a teacher showed up with blue hair, I think they might get fired. If you can’t do it at fifteen, when can you do it? Daily, when I go to school, I see teachers stopping class to discipline those with piercings. If the teacher wouldn’t have pointed it out, I wouldn’t have ever known that the student had a piercing. Pointing it out turns nothing into a problem. If the schools let students have piercings, we would go with less disruption in class. When students feel comfortable in their body and environment they are less likely to act out. If they aren’t acting out, then there is even less disruptions in class. The school should feel like a safe haven for students instead of a jail. This is how we can fix that problem. Schools say that piercings are distracting in class. I have honestly never been distracted in class bysomeone else’s body jewelry. Can you recall, off of personal experience, when someone piercings distracted you? Do you know what is distracting? What distracts most students is fighting, loud
