Pied Piper Analysis

I picked the “Pied Piper” by BTS, I picked this song because I think that it represents a lot of me and my life in general. I admire this band because of the hard effort that they put into their work. For example most idols have very tight and busy schedules to carry. Like their other songs, Not Today and Fire, they have choreography and performed live for thousands of people. I enjoy most of their music and the work behind them. This song is meant to represent the people who admire them. The deeper meaning in this song is for the band members try and explain how bad their fans actually are. “Now stop watching and study for your test” is to say how excessive the fans are. For example, their are many incidences that fans have been caught trying

Für Elise by Beethoven is the song that expresses who I am. When I started playing piano, I got frustrated that most of my family had a natural talent while I didn't. My father talked to me and gave me one of the most important lessons of my life: "Practice makes perfection, if you want something, insist until you get it". After playing piano as a hobby, at age 17 I decided to take my skills to the next level by taking piano lessons at college and I challenged myself to first learn how to play Für Elise. It wasn't easy, but practice made perfection.…

I choose the songs “Walkin’ After Midnight” by Patsy Cline (1957), “Darkest Valley” by Group 1 Crew (2012), and “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been” by Relient K (2004). I choose these three pieces because they are all something that I listen to regularly and they demonstrate a variety of styles in music. Patsy Cline was an iconic female country singer that won awards at the Deejay Convention, won Billboard’s “Most Promising Country & Western Female Artist,” and Music Vendor’s “Greatest Achievement in Records” all just for “Walking After Midnight” (Jones, 1994, p. 159). “Walkin’ After Midnight” music was written by Alan Block and the lyrics were written by Don Hecht ("Walkin' After Midnight." Second Hand Songs - A Cover Songs Database.).…

In the song “Children’s Story” by Slick Rick, the overall theme is that Rick is the uncle of two small children who ask for a bedtime story. Rick proceeds to them a story of a young man who was convinced that a life of crime is appealing. The young man eventually gets addicted to thievery and robbery and accidentally gets into a run in with an undercover police detective and things turn south quickly. In this song, he was able to deliver a message of how going down the wrong path is a slippery slope that few ever recover from.…

Listening to the selections I found they all generally appeal to me though others have more of an immediate preference than others. A genuine love for music creates an appreciation for all genres. One can respect or acknowledge the environment from which it was produced, its purpose, and the skill of the musician(s). I particularly became fond of The Andrew Sisters after experiencing the song “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. I recall hearing it from a television commercial vaguely, but it was a completely new thing to see and hear them perform it.…

A Rhetorical Analysis of “From The Ground Up” Introduction “From the Ground Up”, by Dan and Shay, is one of my favorite love songs. In this paper, it will address the following question: What are the implications for “From the Ground Up” when analyzed through Aristotle’s rhetorical proofs and Stephen E. Toulmin’s three types of claims. “From the Ground Up”, a song by Dan and Shay, was written at an emotional time. Dan’s grandfather passed away, and Shay’s was in the hospital. Both their grandparents were married for over 60 years.…

The song also displays the use of “you” which is pushing the listener to go out and do something or trying to persuade them. This makes the song more dramatic and gives very assertive directions for the audience. The listener may feel as though it is now their duty to follow through with these commands due to the direction and emotion in the…

The chorus of the song is an example of repetition. It means that there are problems in the world and the only way to make them “better” is to change you own ways. The writers wanted it to be remembered, because it is the part of the song where the issue and purpose is being emphasized the most. The poetic devices used in the song are an effective way of communicating to the audience the message of how a change in attitude can lead to a lot of reward and shape us for the…

This song talks about the speaker who is abused by her boyfriend but she stands by him because she loves him. This is similar to when we find out that Mayella was abused by her father but still loves him because well, it’s her father. They both show unhealthy relationships and how bad things can be at home. The mood in both of this song and the book is desperate. They are both desperate for love and will do anything to stay by their family/man.…

It is showing how people should not get down about the little things in life and that they should just keep there head up. “Lost with no direction, my faith is shaking” (Miley Cyrus).
